“ This was a neat little local seafood restaurant. The staff seemed to enjoy their job and each other. We tried a lot of different seafood here. It was pretty good. The snapper, crab cakes, flounder, and gumbo were the best. The scallops were a little mushy. ”
“ The camaraderie of this place is truly a vibe. The waitstaff and patrons sing along in unison to whatever plays on the radio. The staff is authentically enthusiastic and are truly happy to be working there and to be serving you, which is definitely a rarity these days. We had a dozen premium raw oysters, snow crab, grouper cheeks (over cooked bland), crab cakes (overcooked), house baked oysters, and kids fried fish. Everything was solid overall, but bland. We enjoyed our dining experience, but will likely try some new items our next visit. ”
“ The food was very good. Angela our server was great. And sunset through window was beautiful. ”
“ Must be a local fave because at 5:00 on a Monday on 12/30, there was a 20 minute wait. The house oysters at $16 a dozen from Louisiana were huge! Cold & Fresh! The Grilled Grouper was delicious and the other entrees were enjoyed immensely by our guests. If in the area, must try. A fun, lively place! ”
“ The service as good as always. Casual, personable, swift and never absent. The Ambiance is still the same glorious place. It's like going to your favorite uncle's place.... Things seem different but everything is just in the right place, making you feel comfortable. The place is the right for the mood. If you want oysters, that is where you go. This time we sat at a table because we had kids in our party, but still got a chance to greet our buddies behind the bar. The upstairs is now open. They have a stage with live music, but I can't speak for service or ambiance up there, yet. This time Angela takes the kiddos for the great service. Shall return... ”
“ Not the fanciest restaurant, but the most delicious food! Service is on point, atmosphere is so lively! There may be a wait during primetime dinner hours, but the Friday night we went was after 7 PM. We were seated immediately. They started serving chargrilled oysters, which is not on their menu but new to preparing. You have to try it! It rivals Acme Oyster House in NOLA! ”
“ I would travel to this city just for this. Fried gator got us hooked throughout our week stay we ate there 3 times. Every time we visited it was perfect. Do plan ahead to go because the place is packed and that's a good sign. The service 5 star as well always nice and quick to what we needed. Oyster plates just as good. ”
